Regarded as one of the best mods ever made, The Forgotten City surpassed the expectations of everyone involved. Amassing over 2 million downloads and the first mod ever to win a Writers Guild Award, the soundtrack was often regarded as being integral to creating the melancholic atmosphere for which the mod is known.
In December 2021 the track, “Remembrance of Stars,” was featured on BBC Radio 3 in a segment titled “Inspiring Soundtracks to fill you with Courage.”
